Lightning Bolt is a modern cafe, bar and venue that specialises in hosting alternative and rock acts, both local and international. Named after the infamous American garage band, Lightning Bolt provides a space in which the audience can enjoy a glass of wine or crafted cocktail at the bar and mosh to a band in the next room. Targeted towards the young adult crowd, aged 24-30, Lightning Bolt provides a space that emphasises the night on the weekend and the daytime on weekdays. The goal with its identity is to provide an experience that allows the audience to both enjoy the show they are attending and the venue just as much, and to become an institution around Northcote and the city in general.
